Our Story
Historic Nikalapko...
Nikalapko is a sheep station that wraps its way down the Murray River near Cadell. Owned by the Reid family for over 100 years, this enterprise has run sheep, cattle, wine grapes and various fruit and veg, and is currently producing over 100 tonnes of citrus per year.

Nestled into the flood plains of this natural wonderland, is an 1860's built stone cottage set back 100 meters from the river bank. Years of additions and face lifts have resulted in a 4 bedroom and 2 bathroom dwelling, with a big open kitchen looking out onto the river and separate lounge and dining, both with ample space. In the heart of the home is a beautiful, big slow combustion fireplace where you can cozy up near and relax with your favourite glass of wine.

The stunning grounds
presents luxury in your own private 4 acres of land with lush lawns, plenty of native gums and shrubs attracting an abundance of bird life, salt bush hedge boundary and a lawned walkway from the front porch down to your private pontoon.
To the side of the homestead is an orchard with a wide variety of fruits available for guests to enjoy during the summer season, as well as variety of fresh perennial herbs throughout the garden. A big wrap around porch with laid decking promotes a beautiful BBQ area and kitchenette, surrounded by vine and wisteria. Offering stunning views of the river while you dine alfresco.
In the cooler months, there is an outdoor stoned fire pit over looking the river. Perfect for those afternoons and evenings that entice you to unwind, surrounded by natures tranquil sights and sounds, or for the kids to roast some marshmallows and reminisce on the days enjoyment.
